Prominent Nairobi car dealer Khalif Kairo was rearrested today at Milimani Law Courts following fresh allegations of fraud involving the sale of a luxury vehicle. According to police sources, Kairo is accused of receiving full payment for a BMW but failing to deliver the car to the client as agreed. The complainant reportedly made multiple attempts to follow up on the matter, but Kairo allegedly became unresponsive, prompting the client to take legal action.
This latest arrest adds to a growing list of legal troubles surrounding the businessman, who has faced similar accusations in the past. Several clients have previously come forward with complaints about undelivered vehicles and questionable business practices, raising concerns over the operations of his car dealership.
Authorities say investigations are ongoing into Kairo’s business dealings, and more victims may come forward in the coming days. The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) is also said to be reviewing past transactions involving high-end vehicles and large sums of money.
Kairo, who has maintained a strong social media presence and cultivated a public image as a luxury car expert, now faces increasing scrutiny as legal pressure mounts. He is expected to appear in court again as investigations continue.
