Electrifying Change: The Surge of Electric Vehicles

This is accelerating the transition towards electric vehicles, driven by environmental and technological concerns. Governments worldwide are setting very ambitious goals to cut the GHG emissions, while carmakers respond with massive investments in electric vehicle production. The charging infrastructure is expanding, hence making it more convenient for people to switch to EVs, while constant innovation in battery technology has increased their range and decreased their prices. That’s good momentum, but there are challenges to overcome in sustainable battery production, and some concerns about the environmental impact of manufacturing EVs. So, many stakeholders have been talking about how to best encourage widescale adoption of EVs while ensuring sustainability across the supply chain.
